19 kwi 2015 · Howse rotary cutters are less expensively made than the big names but are priced accordingly. I once owned a 5' Howse and found the deck metal too thin for my purposes. That said, the cut quality was OK, and it was light, which is sometimes an advantage.
8 sty 2005 · Here in Kentucky, I couldn't find a heavy duty 8 foot pull type rotary cutter, with front and rear chain guards, with a one hose hydraulic to lift and lower cutter, and with 100 PTO horsepower gearbox any cheaper than $3,400.00 that I paid for the Howse brand rotary cutter.

A basic Howse Model 500 should cost $480 to $520 (Arkansas price). Slip clutch and chains are options. The Squeeler will be a lot more. Both the Howse and the Squeeler are utility rigs. King Kutter makes a comperable rotary cutter that falls somewhere between the Howse and the Squeeler in price.

5 gru 2011 · I built a new deck, for the one I converted to a skidloader mount, used a plasma cutter, and a big washer, big enough to fit the 3/4 drive socket through. You could also use one of them magnetic base drill presses, it does a reasonable job.
