13 mar 2012 · All rotary cutters cut pretty much the same. Buy a good one (read expensive) if you are going to use it a lot. The rotary cutters are separated by their longevity. Thicker sheet metal and a hefty gear box make a difference after several years.
A basic Howse Model 500 should cost $480 to $520 (Arkansas price). Slip clutch and chains are options. The Squeeler will be a lot more. Both the Howse and the Squeeler are utility rigs. King Kutter makes a comperable rotary cutter that falls somewhere between the Howse and the Squeeler in price.
5 gru 2011 · I built a new deck, for the one I converted to a skidloader mount, used a plasma cutter, and a big washer, big enough to fit the 3/4 drive socket through. You could also use one of them magnetic base drill presses, it does a reasonable job.
