MLA format follows the author-page method of in-text citation. This means that the author's last name and the page number(s) from which the quotation or paraphrase is taken must appear in the text, and a complete reference should appear on your Works Cited page.
9 lip 2019 · An MLA in-text citation provides the author’s last name and a page number in parentheses. If a source has two authors, name both. If a source has more than two authors, name only the first author, followed by “ et al. ” If the part you’re citing spans multiple pages, include the full page range.
15 sty 2024 · Only use "sic" for errors in MLA style. The MLA stylebook only supports the use of "sic" to mark errors in spelling or grammar that occur in the original text. When used, place it in square brackets immediately after the error. Don't use it for slang or for odd or archaic usage.

12 sty 2016 · According to Cameron (2013), “We must spell wurds [sic] correctly.”. Here, we have added “ [sic]” to the quote because “wurds” (i.e., “words”) is spelled incorrectly. This shows the reader that the error is from the original text, not something we’ve added by mistake!
