Once you take a single credit card and load it onto a device, phone or watch, that credit card is given its own identity, via the device. Therefore, multiple people can load one credit card onto multiple devices and the fare cap system will work.
OMNY is the easiest, most flexible way to pay your subway or bus fare. You don't have to sign up or download an app; simply use your contactless credit or debit card, smartphone, wearable device, or OMNY card to tap and go. OMNY currently supports full-fare and Reduced-Fare pay-per-ride options.
If you have a registered OMNY account, you have access to your OMNY account via OMNY’s automated telephone system at 877-789-6669, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will need your bank card or OMNY card number and your four-digit PIN to access your OMNY account.
To make the switch, use the digital assistant in the bottom-right of your screen on any page on omny.info, and follow prompts to put your reduced fare benefit on your smart device or contactless card. Before starting, you must create an OMNY account. Have your Reduced-Fare MetroCard and your credit/ debit card handy.
26 wrz 2024 · You can now use your registered contactless debit or credit card, or smart device to pay the reduced fare. And subway and local bus transfers are still free with OMNY. If you registered with your contactless card, you're all set to tap and go.
