12 cze 2023 · In the past year, Minecraft updated their launcher so that *only* seems to be able to run from C:\, even if you go to Apps & Features and have Windows move it to D:\. If you copy the files manually to D:\, it will create all the files in C:\ all over again on startup (before you even login).
Step 1 Open the vanilla launcher and navigate to installations and add a new installation. Step 2 Select your game version and customize the installation to your liking. Step 3 Change the game directory to where you made your folder and create the installation.
The Curseforge app doesn't start if you're offline, but the Minecraft launcher does. If there's a way to launch Curseforge modpacks with the native launcher rather than through Curseforge, then that's the only way to do it if you're offline and don't have other 3rd-party launchers already installed. I'm going through that right now.

The best way to have an easy (even portable) minecraft would is. create a textfile start minecraft.bat in your desired directory; insert this code; @echo off Minecraft.exe --workDir .\_profile\YOUR_NAME create the folder _profile\YOUR_NAME
• Set java.exe or javaw.exe to “High priority” in Task Manager → “Details.” This makes your computer focus its resources on Minecraft. With most launchers, it runs at normal priority by default. With GDLauncher, it runs at low priority by default. Make sure to set it to high priority.
