5 paź 2024 · The "Wii system" is not intrinsecally region locked, whatever launcher you use may be. As said by @FancyNintendoGamer567 there's a Priiloader patch to run foreign software from the official Wii Menu, pretty much every 3rd party loader (Gecko OS, Neogamma, usb loaders, etm) is region free out of the box. P.
Any Region Changer: ModMii Edition (Otherwise known as ARCME) allows you to edit any and all of the region information on your Wii. The setting changes are non-temporary, i.e. they persist after system reboot. ARCME is a mod of Any Region Changer (ARC).
You have to install homebrew channel and prilloader, from there you can enable region free (and make a backup of the wii nand that is better but to do it you need a boot2).
I can't seem to find how I'm supposed to unlock the region-lock on the vWii mode. I don't know if I'm using the wrong keywords when searching, but the only answer I could find was "Install Priiloader", which seems outdated since the WiiU Hacks Guide page for vWii modding has a disclaimer saying that "Installing Priiloader will brick your vWii."
I'm planning on purchasing a japanese imported version of Luigis Mansion(Gamecube obviously) for speedruning purposes but I'm fully aware the wii is region locked. Is there any sort of hack that I can use to region unlock it for gamecube and wii games?
AnyRegion Changer is an application which allows you to make non-temporary changes to various region and language settings on your Wii's SYSCONF and setting.txt files. You may call this a "Region Mod," i.e. the settings will persist.
Make sure to always plug your hard drive into usb port0 - the one nearest the edge of the Wii. An SD Card is recommended, but not necessary, to fully softmod your console. Check if your SD Card has a lock switch and make sure it's disabled. If you get errors during any of the steps try reformatting your SD Card (or HDD) as FAT32.
