5 paź 2024 · The "Wii system" is not intrinsecally region locked, whatever launcher you use may be. As said by @FancyNintendoGamer567 there's a Priiloader patch to run foreign software from the official Wii Menu, pretty much every 3rd party loader (Gecko OS, Neogamma, usb loaders, etm) is region free out of the box. P.
I can't seem to find how I'm supposed to unlock the region-lock on the vWii mode. I don't know if I'm using the wrong keywords when searching, but the only answer I could find was "Install Priiloader", which seems outdated since the WiiU Hacks Guide page for vWii modding has a disclaimer saying that "Installing Priiloader will brick your vWii."
You have to install homebrew channel and prilloader, from there you can enable region free (and make a backup of the wii nand that is better but to do it you need a boot2).
AnyRegion Changer is an application which allows you to make non-temporary changes to various region and language settings on your Wii's SYSCONF and setting.txt files. You may call this a "Region Mod," i.e. the settings will persist.
Take the foreign Wii you are trying to region change, and make sure it's up to date by doing a system update in settings. After that, mod the Wii as normal through Letterbomb followed by a Bootmii installation, and finally a Priiloader installation.
26 sty 2007 · The Region Select channel allows revising the Wii's assigned region. It is not accessed from the Wii Menu, but rather from a menu option in various games (such as Mario Kart Wii and Everybody Votes Channel).
16 kwi 2008 · Gecko Region Free only requires you to load a file called boot.elf from the chain loader, stick in your Wii game and hit reset.
