Graphic fabric prints have the most impact when it comes to framed fabric art. In this blog post, we’ll explore two methods of framing fabric art: taping fabric inside a frame and stretching fabric over a frame like a canvas.
Start by laying the canvas over the stretcher frame, ensuring it is centered with equal amounts of excess fabric on each side. Begin stapling the canvas to the frame at the center of one side, pulling it tight as you work your way to the corners.
Stretch the canvas. Starting on one of the sides, take hold of the canvas and pull it taut over the frame and around to the back. The fabric should have no wrinkles or slack. If the canvas is completely tight, use a staple gun, with one staple in the centre of the stretcher bar.
