10 lip 2018 · You can find your dota2.exe in C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Dota 2 beta/game/bin/win32 or win64, which ever you prefer.
If you find it odd when your DOTA2 is not detected and needs to be installed but in fact if you look at in the \Steam\steamapps\Common\ and you see dota 2 beta folder. when you open the dota2.exe and it runs but the dota2 client is not updated. You need to exit to update the said game.

Note these locations may not physically exist on the filesystem as Dota 2 uses VPK files to store all of their data, this means you will need to create the relevant folders if you wish to override the VPK files.
