14 paź 2018 · The shortcut is there, just like XP! To get rid of the annoying shortcut arrow, just install IconsExtract and extract imageres_110.ico from C:\Windows\system32\imageres.dll. Open the taskbar shortcuts section of displayfusion, select the show desktop file and click Icon-set custom icon.
You can use Regsvr32 in command prompt to get back the quick launch in one shot. Open the Run prompt and type the following regsvr32 /n /i:U shell32.dll. The show desktop icon now should be visible in the Quick Launch bar. Windows 10 and 8 users should see it working.

I preferred the second technique - throw the following command into Start ->Run: regsvr32 /n /i:U shell32.dll Your show desktop icon should have instantly appeared in the quick launch toolbar!
