Start by spraying the front of the iPod with WD40 and then tear off a piece of the sandpaper and scratch away at the front of the iPod until the scratches that were there are gone. I know people scoff at this idea, but you'll never remove scratches with PlastX on it's own, at least deep ones.

You'll also need a lot time and cotton balls or soft rags. Don't use anything with paper in it. That will scratch the metal.
I kinda feel like an idiot for asking but have any of you experience removing scratches from the screen of an iPod Classic? The internet is full of tips for using Brasso or toothpaste but it sounds like nonsense.
