Next, cut the carpet into smaller sections for easy removal and begin scraping the adhesive off the subfloor. Finally, use the adhesive remover to dissolve any remaining glue and clean the floor thoroughly.
3 maj 2018 · Trowel the glue down onto the wood subfloor with the proper trowel tooth depth, it’s usually specified on the glue bucket, and let it set up for the appropriate time. Use a nonpermanent glue if you’d like to be able to peel off the sheet of vinyl for a future replacement.
1 wrz 2024 · If the carpet is stapled or glued down, use a pry bar to remove the staples or loosen the glue. Be gentle to avoid damaging the subfloor. Once the edges are free, begin rolling the carpet towards the center of the room. This will help you manage the removal process and prevent any tripping hazards.
To remove the carpet from under an RV slide out, first locate the edges of the carpet underneath the slide out. Then, using a carpet knife, cut the carpet into manageable sections. Start from one corner and roll up the carpet as you go.
