13 wrz 2023 · As I open an app from my application folder, its icon appears in the dock before the trash and after the last permanent app. On my past Macs (including my MacBook Pro (2016), when I quit an open app, the icon disappears from the dock automatically.

26 lis 2017 · To replace the generic dock icons with the actual application icon, here's what I did: Right click on the generic dock icon; Choose Remove from Dock; Open the application from the Applications Folder in Finder; Drag the application back to the Dock; The new dock icon should be the proper one.

If you accidentally remove an app icon from the Dock, it’s easy to put it back (the app is still on your Mac). Open the app to make its icon appear again in the Dock. Control-click the app’s icon, then choose Options > Keep in Dock.
