This move is not blocked by Protect, Detect, or Spiky Shield, but is blocked by Crafty Shield. Nope. Once a Curse is laid on your Pokemon, you have to switch or have used Crafty Shield beforehand. No, you can't remove a curse from an item unless specified that you can in the item's description. We used to be able to use disjunction, but apparently 5e's designers didn't think to include the all-purpose magic erasing spell.
