2 lis 2021 · When composers and players want to add rhythmic variety to a passage of music, they may employ a type of note value known as a tuplet. The most ubiquitous tuplet is the triplet, which is common in music of countless genres from countless eras.
3 lis 2014 · Let’s first do a simple check up on triplets, how you play them and how you can practice them towards this kind of phrasing. Exercise 1 is a basic triplet pattern with three notes from the A minor/C major pentatonic scale.
A triplet is written by putting a “3” over the top of the notes to show that 3 notes should fit in where there would normally only be 2. So in this example the “3” over the top of the crotchets means that 3 crotchets adds up to 2 beats instead of 3.
Key Tasks. These tasks follow a sequence. Use a metronome, and start at the beginning from the bottom to the top, until you can perform all triplets verbally. Then you will be able to play them on guitar. Tap four beats to a metronome set at 90 BPM. Tap four, and perform quarter notes. Tap four, and perform eighth notes.
