I used to be able to buy things on eBay using "Buy it Now" or when I won and auction and it would give me the options at checkout to use my existing PayPal balance. Now, it only gives me the option to use my credit card or paypal, but when I click to select paypal it wants me to add a credit card.

I have my PayPal connected to eBay as the preferred method to pay, and I have a PayPal balance. In PayPal I have it set to use the balance first, then a backup method. So far, eBay has only bypassed the balance and just went straight to the backup method even with more than enough balance available (i.e. $25 bid/best offer, balance $100+).

Clicked on go to checkout (that worked fine) Clicked on ''how to pay'' - and chose Paypal as my payment option. My login box appeared. I typed in my email then my password....
17 sty 2012 · If you are paying for something in GBP and you have balance in USD (or other currency) and you want to pay your order with balance + credit card or only balance. you first need to log into your PayPal account, create GBP currency and convert your balance to that GBP currency.
