The Alcohol Unit Calculator allows you to calculate the number of units in any alcoholic drink in any size drinking vessel. Simply enter the alcohol percentage of the drink and the vessel volume in millilitres (ml).
You can work out how many units there are in any drink by multiplying the total volume of a drink (in ml) by its ABV (measured as a percentage) and dividing the result by 1,000. strength (ABV) x volume (ml) ÷ 1,000 = units
24 cze 2024 · You can work out the number of alcohol units in your drink using the following formula (which works for any drink): [strength (ABV) × drink volume (ml)] / 1000 (ABV – alcohol by volume — is a measure of pure alcohol as a percentage of the total volume of liquid in the drink.)
Use this alcohol conversion tool to convert between different units of weight and volume. Please note that this type of conversion requires a substance density figure. A list of some common alcohol density approximations is provided below.
One unit equals 10ml or 8g of pure alcohol. You can work out how much alcohol is in your drink - based on its strength and size - by using the following equation: strength (alcohol by volume or ABV) x the volume of the drink (in millilitres) ÷ 1,000 = the total number of units in your drink.
A straightforward approach to illustrating the alcohol content of a drink is to use units of alcohol. These units are typically represented by ABV, or alcohol by volume. The ABV of a drink is represented as a percentage of the full volume of the drink and measures how much pure alcohol it contains.
Use the unit calculator to find out how many units are in a particular drink, or to check how much you're drinking.
