Step 1: Measure Your Bike. Children's bikes generally come in four sizes, depending on the wheel diameter (12", 16", 20", and 24"). We had a 20" bike, which works well for most of our school-aged children. I will include the dimensions of the stand we made as I go, but a stand for a smaller or larger bike would require some adjustments.
