In Minecraft, you can build a nether portal that acts as a doorway between the Overworld and the Nether. You can then use this nether portal to easily move between the Overworld and the Nether, whenever you like.
If you have obsidian (which I personally couldn't figure out how to obtain in survival) you build a standard nether portal (you need the corners) and then left click with a flint and steel. Make sure your standing outside of the portal when you light it, it wont light if you are inside of the frame.
