How To Install Mods for The Sims 2. To install mods, all you need to do is go to your Documents folder, find your Sims 2 folder (usually under EA Games unless you customized your installation), and create a folder called “Downloads”.
Windows: Please follow this guide for info on how to install custom content or mods. Note the Downloads folder is created in Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2 (or The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, if you have the proper UC).
