Install the BepInEx_Outward pack. Add mods as you desire! You can launch with mods with the Launch (modded) button in r2modman, or Launch (vanilla) to play without mods. If you launch from your game store launcher or from the Outward.exe directly then it will not launch with mods. Vanilla Outward
Now, reinstall the game, and install BepInEx 5.0.1. This can be found on the outward modding wiki. When BepInEx is downloaded, you can start browsing the Nexus for mods that you want.

Do a manual download from nexus. If you are using the r2modman manager for outward then in settings you can open the mods folder from there. Unpack the zip from nexus there.
A mod is a community-made package which modifies or adds to Outward's code or assets in some way. Outward uses the Unity engine (2020.3.26 for Definitive Edition, 2018.4.8 for Vanilla), and can therefore be modded with any compatible mod-loader such as BepInEx, or other Unity modding tools.
