I've recently started trying to use reshade for the sims 4 on my laptop. I noticed a few days after installing reshade my laptop would start to get hotter than normal. I know that reshade is quite demanding of a program but are there any tips and tricks to make it more laptop friendly.

Performance mode means the reshade is lock, I'd suggest leaving it on performance mode on so that it doesn't slow down your pc, then open the reshade box (I think the home button is the default? 🤔), & try out the little shaders after unchecking the performance mode checkbox below.
4 sie 2021 · I had an ask over on tumblr about how to tweak MXAO settings in the latest versions of ReShade. I thought I'd do a quick tutorial setting out how best to learn what everything does, along with an explanation of each of the settings.
But given that your computer's graphics chip is probably already running at its limit, adding Reshade will likely have a significant impact on performance. On the other hand, if you're willing to experiment a bit, you can add Reshade and remove it later if you don't like the results.
