I've been optimising The Sims 4 for a few months now and I'm slowly starting to create some useful posts. My main objective is to make the game run better, fix stutters/lag and make it look better all at the same time!
Made sure to update the more impactful/bigger script mods (basemental drug mostly) - updating some can be unnecessary sometimes. Cleared all cache from origin/ea and the sims 4, as well as deleting local thumb cache especially when installing new mods.

10 sty 2019 · If you have a laptop with Nvidia Optimus (switchable graphics), make sure TS4 is set to run on the Nvidia graphics card by going to the Nvidia Control Panel, add TS4.exe and set to "High-Performance NVIDIA processor".
4 wrz 2014 · 1 TB 5400 RPM hard drive. 1366 x 768 max resolution. I set the laptop's resolution to 1280 x 720 when it's plugged in to my external video capture device. MrsFlynn has the same laptop, though we haven't installed it on her's yet as we need to get the video drivers updated first.
Please keep in mind that Sims 4 will lag on any computer, no matter how powerful; it's just the way the game is built. But on this laptop, lag should be as minimal as is reasonably possible.
