The Spiritualist is an NPC vendor that will spawn once the following conditions have been met: There is an empty house. Buried Champion has been defeated. When threatened by enemies, he will defend himself with healing stars.
Internal NPC ID: 534. The Tortured Soul is an uncommon Hardmode enemy found in The Underworld. If the player throws Purification Powder on him, he will transform into the Tax Collector NPC. Afterwards, the Tortured Soul will no longer spawn.
This is a general progression and mechanic guide on the Healer Class introduced in the Thorium Mod. This guide will go in depth into the inner workings of the class, how to be an effective healer, and when it is best to play as one. A Healer (center) stands ready amongst the other 6 classes.
For context, I'm currently playing in a 5-man group and I'm the healer (others are playing a mage, a ranger, a summoner, and an undecided class). Though I've played the Thorium and spirit mod solo with all the other classes, this is my first time attempting the healer class.

The Underground Spirit is generated directly under the surface of the Spirit Biome, in the Cavern layer which gets darker and scarier the deeper you go. The Spirit Biome does not generate in new worlds and will only appear after a Mechanical Boss is defeated for the first time.
