/gamerule randomTickSpeed 3 sets it to normal. Set the number higher to increase speed of fire, but also other things that rely on this, such as crops, leaves, and saplings.

4 mar 2011 · Alternatively, you could use /give [user] 87 to get yourself a netherrack block. This would be the only solution other than using a plugin. Netherrack fires never burn out and if you want to read about them, check the Minecraft Wiki, Netherrack article.
You need to get out of the fire eventually. The only way to get out of it is by moving.
