The only real way to speed up the acquisition of Charged crystals rather than getting more normal Quartz is to obtain the home instance node. The Quartz node in your home instance has a small chance to straight-up provide you with a Charged crystal when you mine it.

Players need to obtain the hero point from the place of power before the option is available.
After it has paid itself off, enjoy a small but non-trivial discount on combining Charged Quartz every day, since you'll be getting regular Quartz for free at that point.
