Start the service, and the icon should change to the Wireless settings one. I had disabled the service in an attempt to reduce the number of processes running on the system, and it didn't seem to cause any problem other than the icon looking like a network cable, instead of the wireless signal bars. 18 sie 2017 · I noticed that the icon shown in your screenshot indicates that you're connected to a "work" network. The main (perhaps only) difference between "home" and "work" networks is that "work" networks can't create or join HomeGroups.
I would suggest you to update the network drivers from the manufacturer website and check if the issue still persists.
