For problems with sound: Verify that the TV or audio system is not muted. Check the settings of your audio output device to make sure it "sees" the PS3. Also, verify that you are using the correct audio cables and that they are properly connected. When playing audio discs, verify that the music you are trying to play is not copy-protected.
Best answer: Greetings, After doing some searches, I find that: From the PS3 main menu: 1. Settings->Sound Settings->Audio Output Settings 2. Change it from HDMI to Digital Out (Optical).
I hooked everything up and used my own HDMI cord, and could hear the sound of my ps3 when it booted up. I could even hear the music from the game in the menu, before pressing it to play. But the moment I turn on the actual game, there's no sound.
FYI: The solution was to uninstall AMD HDMI Sound driver and use built in Windows 10 drivers. All works like a charm now.
