22 sty 2018 · Leave the oil to penetrate the wood for about 2 hours. Wipe off surplus oil with a cloth or kitchen paper. During the first week of use the table top should be treated every second day and after that every third day until the surface is saturated (after about 2 months).

22 mar 2019 · You could use the Behandla applied correctly this time :-) although I don't think it provides enough protection for a working surface in a kitchen myself. Actually using "Danish oil" (usually a varnish and oil blend) is an option, but I think it's better to go straight to varnish myself.

1 sty 2019 · I started applying ikea's Behandla finish but so far I don't like the result at all and I also don't want to apply it for 2 months. So I got some Danish oil but I have no idea how this could turn out if I apply it just right over the Behandla? Any recommendations? Thanks
Stryk på BEHANDLA i ett tunt, jämnt skikt med borste eller duk. Låt medlet tränga in i ca 15 minuter. Torka bort olja som inte absorberats med en mjuk trasa. Låt ytan torka och up-prepa oljebehandlingen 1-3 gånger beroende på hur väl träet absorberar oljan. Torktid: Kan bestrykas igen efter 2-4 timmar. Ytan torkar på 12-24
Wipe away and rub out anything remaining on the surface using a cloth. Let dry for about an hour, then repeat until desired color/surface. When you're done applying all layers, I'd suggest waiting about a day before using. (Average for most sealants/stains/oils) 3. Reply. Award.
