* You can now feed horses while riding them by interacting with it with a food item (excluding hay bales) while looking down. * All horses have 15 hearts instead of a variable amount. * Leather horse armor allows horses to safely ride over powder snow.
Try a mod like Hourglass to extend the MC day +/- night so you have more time between days in order to take care of your horses. For example, you could set a double length day (20 minutes) or even higher so the day passes slower.

The modpack includes popular mods like SWEM, Genetic Animals, Realistic Horse Genetics, Frikinzi's Fauna and Hourglass which add realistic horse breeding, training, and care elements to the game, as well as various new items and features to enhance the ranch experience and exploration.
SWEM adds a new horse model, animations, armor, horse armor, progression, western saddles, english saddles, jumps, food/water mechanic, decor and more~~. This mod is built on upgrading horses to keep up with other java modding and fill in that gap of equestrian content.
