Pikachu can be found in this forest. This is a reference to Viridian Forest, Kanto, where Pikachu can be encountered at a low rate. The background music in Gale Forest was based on Santalune Forest, Kalos from the core series game Pokémon X and Y. It was replaced by Kyle Allen Music's original composition later on.

Pikachu (Japanese: ピカチュウ Pikachu) is an Electric-type Pokémon. It is Pokdex #025. It evolves from Pichu when leveled up with high friendship and evolves into Raichu when exposed to a Thunder Stone. "Pikachu, the Mouse Pokémon. It can generate electric attacks from the electric pouches located in both of its cheeks."
Pikachu: This one takes a little while. It has a 3% chance of spawning at any time of the day. Remember, there are no thunder stones yet, so evolving Pikachu is not yet possible.
