You keep whatever your username/profile name for Java was after you migrate. If you want to change your profile name for Java, go to Minecraft.net/msaprofile and under Java Edition, click the arrow and choose Change Profile Name.
7 maj 2015 · I'm using the official server (on windows) from minecraft.net I got it all up and working but I'm curious how to change the Server Name. It looks like before 1.8.1 you could just add server-name=my server to the server.properties file, but now that doesn't seem to work.
Problem: I opened up the Minecraft Launcher, selected Java Edition, and clicked play. I was met with a request to input a username for Minecraft Java Edition. I entered my username and but the message "Username has already been taken" popped up.
