Ideally you should keep your glucose level below 5.3 mmol/l1 on waking and below 7.8 mmol/l one hour after eating a meal. If your readings are regularly higher than this (≥3 times in a week), please contact the Diabetes Midwife to discuss adjusting your dose of insulin.
