A Player Moderator (also known as a Player Mod, PMod or P-Mod) is a RuneScape player selected by Jagex to help moderate the game [1]. Player Moderators were added to the game on 14 June 2004 [2] [3] and by December 2019 there were 2,364 PMods. [4] As of 2024, there are around 1,800 PMods.

A Player Moderator has direct approaches to rulebreakers. To safeguard other members of the community from disruptive or offensive players they have the ability to issue a priority abuse report which will, with an immediate effect, temporarily mute the reported player to give Jagex staff members some time to review the incident.
