The Athletic Coaching certificate meets the requirements of the Minnesota State High School League and Minnesota Statute 122A.33, which dictates the minimum coaching education necessary to be a head coach at the high school level.
The MSHSL offers two programs to educate Minnesota coaches. The Minnesota Head Coaches Course (MNHCC) provides certification for coaches who do not meet the statute requirements of MS122A.33 (Head Coaching Licensure), and the Continuing Education Requirement (CER) for all coaches serving at the B-Squad, JV and Varsity levels.
The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) is a voluntary, non-profit association for the support and governance of interscholastic activities at high schools in Minnesota, United States. [1] The association supports interscholastic athletics and fine arts programs for member schools.
Membership is extended to each Minnesota-based high school as approved by its governing board, high schools associated with state supported universities or colleges, and state supported institutional high schools.
