Yes you can, I cancelled that account a few years ago and still have the email address with it, I use it for random stuff. You can also set it up to forward messages if you create another account.

Confirm or enter the following settings: Incoming Mail Server - inbound.att.net (POP3) or imap.mail.att.net (IMAP)
