Born in the Sengoku Period, Kokushibo's birth name was Michikatsu Tsugikuni. When he and his brother Yoriichi were born, twins were considered a bad omen, and when their father saw that Yoriichi had a strange birthmark on his forehead, he declared that he would kill Yoriichi.[1]
In the Sengoku Era nearly five centuries ago, Kokushibo, originally Michikatsu Tsugikuni, was a human and the older twin brother of Yoriichi Tsugikuni, renowned as the strongest Demon Slayer in history. As humans, the brothers shared a close sibling bond and cared deeply for each other.
Kokushibo doesn’t mince words when recalling his past life as the human Michikatsu; at the time he was seemingly the happiest as the head of the Tsugikuni family with a wife and children to care for.
