The kernel virtual memory contains the code and data structures in the kernel. Some regions of the kernel virtual memory are mapped to physical pages that are shared by all processes. For example, each process shares the kernel’s code and global data structures.

20 wrz 2010 · Re: windows xp not showing correct amount of ram. Kingston is known to label half of a dual-channel kit with the full size of both DIMMS. I have a set of Kingston DIMMS at home that state "512" on the label, but in fact it is only "256". This may be the same as the laptop SODIMM.
4 lip 2012 · The easiest way to get system information is to run: MSINFO32.exe which is a program within all of the Microsoft Operating systems. To start Microsoft System Information, use either of the following methods: Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Information.
I can fully see a lower-end PC, w/ 8GB of RAM dedicated to the system, other apps, and the browser, hitting the limits of the system memory, especially if someone has multiple screens that are conducive to a multi-window browser workflow.
