This article summarizes the ultra- sound technique and protocol for evaluation of the groin to include evaluation of the hip joint, anterior hip musculature, the iliopsoas bursa, the inguinal lymph nodes, the pubic symphys- eal region, and the inguinal region for hernias.
Ultrasound is the currently the most common imaging modality of inguinal hernias because it permits dynamic soft tissue studie\൳ of the region without the use of ionising radiation. It’s also readily accessible and cost effective in comparison to MRI, its對 alternative.\
