The USS Enterprise (CV-6) was a 19,800-ton Yorktown class aircraft carrier and the seventh U.S. Navy vessel to bear the name. She was launched in 1936 and was one of only three American carriers commissioned prior to World War II to survive the war (the others being the USS Saratoga and USS Ranger).

31 maj 2018 · On May 26, 2018, I had the opportunity to see and touch what many consider to be the "Holy Grail" of artifacts associated with U.S. naval history; the stern plate of the WWII aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CV 6) which is in the care of the Township of River Vale, New Jersey.
