8 gru 2015 · With this simple template you can built very scale-able visual novels in Construct 2. This combines the simplicity of Construct 2 and Functions to offer game designers the ability to make a full complex Visual Novel without touching anything other than between 2-3 functions throughout the entire games design.
For single monitor users, the highest used resolutions is 1920 x 1080 (which is HD) with nearly 50% of the population. The next closest is 1366x768 at 22%, which is a very common laptop/netbook screen size. The rest are all in the low percents.
Plan out your story first and divide it into chunks/scenes/chapters to write. If events occur based on variables and not route splits though it'll be a bit complicated. I use Google Docs (with a few tweaks, like a dark theme and css edit to remove page breaks).
I would recommend doing the images as large as you can during production and then downscaling it to 4K (or larger if you want to allow zooming) . While most people do not have 4K monitors currently, it allows you to future proof your game better.
