If you need 50-100+ hours (unvoiced) to tell a story, you should either break it down into multiple volumes, or get an editor. There's no way a book publisher would let you get away with being this verbose, unless you're a bestseller on the level of Twilight or Harry Potter.

A visual novel can be seen as a combination of a novel and a computer game: they're computer games with a large text based storyline and only little interaction of the player. A typical visual novel consists of text over an anime-style background image and is accompanied by background music.
Text boxes in visual novels typically have backgrounds that cover the full screen, so 480x270. The text box is overlaid over the roughly bottom quarter of the screen, so it might be 60-70 pixels tall.
Newer games can be resized in window mode, but not older ones. But when i play older VNs the windowed mode is often too small to see anything, because i have a 4k monitor. Is there a way or tool that can increase/resize older windowed VNs? Maybe there is a tool that could zoom the game?
