12 mar 2020 · The point is, if you want your engraving to go line by line with no gaps and no overburn, the setting for the DPI/Line interval is a specific number that can only be derived by knowing what size dot your laser is laying down. If I know my dot size is 1/2" then my DPI is 2 and my line interval is 1/2".
You can now decide how big should be your image, and its position in space. LaserGRBL will keep the image ratio fixed, so if you scale the height, width is changed consequently. If you want to have a different ratio, please edit your image in an external program / editor.

Settings that work when an image is 4" x 6" might not work when an image is 11" x 14". Besides, you are an artist! You want a custom image that fits your vision, not a generic reproduction.
