Canine gallbladder mucocele (GBM) is characterized by progressive accumulation of tenacious pale yellow to dark green mucin-laden bile, which may extend into the cystic, hepatic, and common bile ducts, resulting in variable degrees of bile duct obstruction.

However, larger gallstones pose a greater risk of complications, with those over 10mm in size being of particular concern.

30 mar 2020 · Larger nodules are more likely to be adenomas; certainly masses greater than 6 cm in diameter are not nodules of hyperplasia. Lobular architecture is the best single criterion to distinguish these lesions, particularly when both adenomas and nodular hyperplasia are present.
In decreasing frequency of occurrence, clinical signs include lethargy and vomiting (> 70%), hyporexia (~65%), and diarrhea (~30%). Physical examination findings include pyrexia (~30%), jaundice (~25%), lethargy (26%), palpable hepatomegaly (10%), and occasional polyuria/polydipsia (PU/PD) and ascites.
