All visitors require a park pass (day pass or Parks Canada Discovery Pass) when stopping to use amenities, services, and facilities within a national park. Canadian Rockies Hot Springs facilities are all located within National parks, therefore a national park pass is required when visiting them.

The Discovery Pass includes all the privileges and services that normally come with a daily admission pass or permit. Services such as Canadian Rockies Hot Springs admission, backcountry overnight use, guided tours or parking that normally carry a separate fee are excluded.
The Discovery Pass does include entry to the Cave and Basin National Historic Site and the Banff Park Museum NHS in Banff NP, as well as the visitor centre at Rogers Pass NHS in Glacier NP (on the TransCanada highway #1, between Revelstoke and Golden, BC).
