A typical residential plumbing diagram includes the main water line, which brings water into the house from the municipal water supply. From there, the water is typically divided into hot and cold lines, which supply water to different fixtures throughout the house.
The piping symbols include different pipelines such as thick or thin, hot water pipeline, and cold water pipeline. But there are two main types of pipeline connections. Major pipeline: a long major pipe, typically underground, for conveying fluid or gas over long distances.
Since the entire plumbing plan is located behind the walls, prepare a plumbing diagram reflecting the walls as transparent elements. As for the underground piping plan, the 2D or 3D illustration must depict some essential elements, like the sewer and municipal water line.
The first (diagram 1 and 2 below), uses water supplied ‘directly’ from the water main, called a direct system and the other method (diagram 3 below) uses a storage tank (cistern) to give a store of cold water, then distributes the water around the home, known as an indirect system.
