Horace 'The Epodes' and 'Carmen Saeculare': a new, downloadable English translation.

The Epodes (Latin: Epodi or Epodon liber; also called Iambi) are a collection of iambic poems written by the Roman poet Horace. They were published in 30 BC and form part of his early work alongside the Satires .

THE EPODES. The Epodes (or 1ambi, as Horace would have called them) were published in 30 b.c. They were written at various times in the previous decade, but give few indications of date. No. 7 tells us that a new civil war is about to start.
