Submitting a HOPE Scholarship Appeal to TSAC A student who is denied an appeal by the IRP located at an eligible postsecondary institution may appeal to TSAC. The student shall submit an appeal to TSAC within forty-five (45) calendar days from the date on the decision letter from the IRP.

Regaining the HOPE Scholarship. If you fail to meet the academic renewal requirements and lose the HOPE Scholarship, you can regain the award one time only by meeting the renewal criteria listed below. You cannot appeal to regain your HOPE Scholarship if your GPA falls below the renewal requirements.
Do I have to reapply each year to receive my HOPE Scholarship? Yes. You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year and it is the only recognized application for the HOPE Scholarship program. To review your eligibility status, you must register for a TSAC Student Portal account.
If extenuating circumstances prevent a student from meeting continuous enrollment and/or enrollment status requirements, the student may appeal. Please visit the Financial Aid Office for more information about filing an appeal.
