30 lip 2016 · It is located on that shaft just inside the oil case on the starboard side of the outboard. Those go bad or get out of adjustment and won't allow spark. Do you have a voltmeter and know how to use it? That can help alot when figuring out a no spark condition.

21 sty 2012 · Tried a new ignition coil and a different CDI, individually and together. Still no spark. Oil level OK, about in the middle of the dipstick. Can find no problems in the wiring harness. Every connection re-checked and re-checked again.
24 lis 2013 · One easy way to check, would be to put the spark plugs in the motor, connect the plug wires and put a timing light on each lead. If the timing light flashes, most likely, you have spark. The ignition circuits on the 50's is very hardy...if you have no spark at all, it could be the exciter, pulser wiring, or cdi.

29 maj 2021 · Neither of those go bad often on the Honda D models but anything is possible after 15 years. To verify, you will need to check for spark again when it won't fire off. If you still have spark then it's likely that the carb needs servicing. This sounds like it could be a problem with the cold start enrichment (bystarter) system.
23 lip 2022 · Possible Solution: Unclogging the necessary parts to restore fuel flow is the solution to this problem. If the problem persists, try replacing the spark plug. To fix this: Things You Will Need: Carburetor Cleaner. Troubleshoot 1: Clear Clogged Carburetor. Strip the carburetor. Clean the gunk away with a carburetor cleaner.
If the engine fails to start, remove the spark plugs, clean and dry the electrodes, then reinstall the spark plugs and attempt to start the engine again. If used engine oil showed signs of water contamination, then a second engine oil change should be performed after running the engine for 1/2 hour.
