Making a homemade muzzleloader - my first project. Mega newbie for gun making here, what should I watch out for when I make a muzzleloader? I'm planning on using a 1/2 inch piece of sturdy steel pipe for the barrel and keeping it a smoothbore. What should I do for homemade wads, loads etc?

It’s not cheap by any means, but if you take your time, and build this high quality kit, you will not be disappointed. My first kit was a Dimick Rifle Kit that required a high skill level to complete.
